The problem
One temperature excursion can spoil an entire refrigerated load. In food distribution, that's a loss and an unhappy customer. In pharma, that's a regulatory event and potentially harm to a patient. Manual logs are useless as evidence and impossible to defend in audit.
The operators who get this right don't just track vehicles โ they track cargo condition in near real-time, alert on breach, and produce reports that satisfy HACCP and equivalent frameworks without heroic paperwork.
What Netlynk provides
- Bluetooth temperature sensor integration (all Teltonika trackers)
- Temperature graph per trip, per compartment (multi-zone trucks)
- Real-time alerts on threshold breach with vehicle location
- HACCP-compliant reports, ready for regulator or client audit
- Door open/close events correlated with temperature spikes
- Refrigeration-unit ignition monitoring (alert when fridge is off)
- Full export by vehicle, by date range, by trip
How it looks in practice
Temperature is logged every 60 seconds from up to four probes per truck. If cargo temperature climbs above threshold for more than five minutes, dispatch and driver both get an alert with vehicle location. The driver checks the refrigeration unit, dispatch escalates to the customer if a delay is unavoidable, and every event is timestamped for the compliance record.
When the annual audit happens, the compliance officer exports a report per vehicle and per date range. Five minutes of work instead of two weeks.
