The problem

Rent-a-car operators run two businesses that rarely talk to each other: a booking business (calendar, contracts, payments) and a fleet business (vehicles, condition, tracking). Most run spreadsheets for one and paper for the other, and the disconnect costs them in disputes, damage claims and lost mileage.

The car-sharing model (self-serve, no counter) adds another layer: you need remote lock/unlock and instant fuel-level checks or the whole thing falls apart.

What Netlynk provides

  • Booking system with calendar and availability check
  • Remote lock and unlock via Teltonika relay
  • Mileage-based billing with accurate km tracked per booking
  • Fuel level check at pickup and return
  • Damage inspection module with photos and signatures
  • Digital contracts with in-app signatures
  • Insurance policy integration and claims data

How it looks in practice

A customer books online, gets a digital contract to sign, pays, and receives a unique unlock code delivered to their phone. They walk to the car, tap unlock, and drive. The platform tracks mileage in real time; on return, the car auto-checks in with fuel level noted, and the customer is invoiced based on measured km โ€” not estimated.

For staffed rentals, the same platform runs the counter workflow with photos, signatures and damage log.

Typical outcome

Mileage disputes and hidden km disputes end. Damage claims become defensible with timestamped photos. Car-sharing (self-serve) becomes operationally feasible.
